Nokia to be announced windows tablet soon

Nokia will hold a two-day event in
New York on September 26 and 27.

According to Windows Phone
Central, no details were spilled as
to the nature or topic of the event,
but one obvious candidate is a
Nokia’s tablet.

The company has traditionally
used New York to unveil major new
Lumia devices. In September 2012,
Nokia launched the Lumia 920 in
New York, and earlier this month,
the Lumia 1020 made its debut in
the city. With a full lineup of
Lumia phones now up for sale, the
time may be ripe for a long-
awaited tablet .

In May, Jo Harlow, executive vice
president of smart devices for
Nokia, also teased the notion,
saying: “We’re very interested in
tablets and that’s an area we’re
looking at.”
Multiple sources suggests that
Nokia is currently testing a tablet
among different carriers, If that’s
true then company could coincide
the launch of a tablet with the
release of Windows 8.1.

The site also claims that they have
received a description for the
Nokia’s tablet that suggests a
Nokia Lumia phone like design with
“bright colours and rounded
corners”. The rumoured tablet is
expected to feature an 11-inch
display.

Recently gfxbench.com leaked the
above image of the benchmark
results, which suggested that the
alleged Nokia RX-114 tablet would
be powered by a quad-core
processor with Adreno 330 GPU
graphics processor and is expected
to run on Windows RT.

Earlier this month, The Verge said
that Nokia reportedly had plans to
develop a 10-inch tablet outfitted
with Windows RT, but the company
has decided to nix it in favour of
one running the full version of
Windows 8.

Now when the event is already
lined up on September 26-27, we
could certainly guess the launch.

Huawei asend p6 will launch in august

Last month, Huawei launched its
Ascend Mate in India and the
Ascend P6 in London. The world’s
slimmest Android smartphone , the
Huawei Ascend P6 is now set to
launch in India .

The date is
unconfirmed, but the handset is
expected to launch in India
around mid-of-August. The Huawei
Ascend P6 is priced at about 449
Euros, in Europe and is likely to be
priced around Rs. 30,000 in India.
The Huawei Ascend P6 with
unbelievably slim body (6.18 mm),
metal band around the sides with
rounded bottom and diamond-cut
edges resembles the iPhone design
concept.

The 4.7-inch device comes with a
1280×720 in-cell display that has
MagicTouch abilities, another term
for being responsive while wearing
gloves.

Under the hood of the Huawei
Ascend P6, you get Huawei’s very
own HiSilicon K3V2 SoC at the
helm of things. This chip combines
a quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU clocked
at 1.50 GHz, with a 16-core GPU,
and a soft-modem that’s capable of
HSPA+ (21.1 Mbps), 802.11 b/g/n
Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. In Dual-
SIM versions, the SoC is backed by
2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal
storage that’s expandable with
micro-SDHC (by up to 32 GB). A
2,000 mAh battery powers the
device, which is generous,
considering its dimensions of 132.7
x 65.5 x 6.2 mm, and 120 g weight.
Huawei is also promoting its sealed
2000mAh battery and claiming up
to 30% better uptime than the
equivalent cell size from another
manufacturer, and the 8MP rear
camera boasts macro views of 4cm.
The front-facing camera is also
noteworthy, as its absurdly high
5MP resolution.
Stay tuned for the ‘Hands on’ of
Huawei Ascend P6.
